Your experience begins around 5:30 AM, when our friendly crew picks you up from your Phoenix or Scottsdale hotel and transports you to our desert launch site near Deer Valley or Cave Creek.
As the balloon is prepared for takeoff, enjoy a light continental breakfast featuring fresh coffee, tea, juices, and locally baked pastries under the early morning sky.
Then, take flight for approximately one hour, drifting peacefully above scenic desert landscapes, cactus-filled valleys, and sweeping views of the McDowell Mountains, Lake Pleasant, and on clear days even downtown Phoenix in the distance. Along the way, you might spot desert wildlife and learn fascinating facts from your FAA-certified pilot.

About Us: The Sky Is Our Home
At Phoenix Balloon Adventures, our story isn’t just about flying it’s about passion, precision, and a lifelong dream taking shape in the Arizona skies.
Our founder and chief pilot, Jon Radowski, discovered the magic of hot air balloons at just two years old, attending a balloon festival with his family. That day sparked a fascination that never faded. By age 14, Jon was already flying solo as a student pilot. At 17, he designed and built his very first hot air balloon and by 19, he had earned his FAA commercial pilot certificate, launching a full-time career in the skies.
Today, Jon brings more than 27 years of flight experience to Phoenix Balloon Adventures, having piloted balloons of every shape and size across 24 states and 8 countries, including Switzerland, India, Mexico, and France. He has flown everything from sleek passenger balloons to iconic special shapes even commanding one of the tallest hot air balloons in the world, the towering Space Shuttle Patriot, which stood nearly 190 feet tall.
But Jon’s expertise goes beyond the basket. He is also an FAA-certified hot air balloon repairman and inspector, a designer of custom balloons and airships, and a certified flight instructor who has trained new generations of balloon pilots. His aviation credentials span far and wide from single- and multi-engine airplanes to gliders, powered paragliders, and skydiving jumps from hot air balloons.
Most importantly, Jon brings with him an unblemished safety record and a deep sense of care for each and every guest. With more than 19,000 happy passengers flown without a single injury, he leads with both skill and heart.
